2007 Rugby World Cup Qualifying Eighty-six countries are contesting the
qualifying rounds for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. The long road that leads to
France began in Europe in September 2004 and will end early in 2007 with the
repechage rounds. The qualifying rounds are based on regional competitions to
minimise matches. Teams that qualified for the 2003 Rugby World Cup enter the
final qualifying rounds for the 2007 World Cup. The eight quarter-finalists from
the 2003 RWC qualified automatically for France 2007. Fiji, Samoa (Oceania) and
Argentina (Americas) have already qualified.
